  The Union Cabinet has sanctioned an enhanced funding of 3,400 crores for 2021-2026 for Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) for the development of the dairy industry in India. The initiative seeks to increase milk production, cattle's genetic quality, and farmers' income through artificial breeding technologies including Artificial Insemination, In Vitro Fertilisation, and genomic studies.
