Revised Rashtriya Gokul Mission: Higher Funding & New Initiatives For Livestock Growth

 The Union Cabinet has sanctioned an enhanced funding of 3,400 crores for 2021-2026 for Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) for the development of the dairy industry in India. The initiative seeks to increase milk production, cattle's genetic quality, and farmers' income through artificial breeding technologies including Artificial Insemination, In Vitro Fertilisation, and genomic studies. The latest modification of the plan also provides grants for Heifer Rearing Centres as well as interest subvention on loans for high genetic merit IVF heifers to achieve systematic breed improvement and sustainable growth of the dairy economy. https://www.jaagrukbharat.com/rashtriya-gokul-mission-rgm-7331322
